Will maintenance need access to my room?
Yes, maintenance may need access to your room if the repair is inside your room, bathroom, kitchenette or another private area. This lets the team inspect the issue, complete the repair and make sure everything is safe and working properly.
You do not always need to be present. For most routine repairs, the maintenance team can access your room if permission and notice requirements have been met. When you log a request through the Scape app, include your availability and whether you would prefer to be there.
Access for repairs
- Non-urgent repairs: the team will usually give at least 24 hours’ written notice before entering your room.
- Emergency repairs: access may be required without notice if there is an urgent safety, security or property risk.
- Personal belongings: if the repair needs access near your belongings, it is a good idea to tidy the area or be present if you prefer.
Please keep the affected area as clear as possible so the team can work safely and quickly. If your availability changes after logging a request, update the Scape app or contact reception.
If you have any concerns about access, speak to reception before the repair takes place.
