When is my room officially secured?

Your room is officially secured when Scape has received your initial payment in cleared funds and sent you a booking confirmation email.

It’s important to know that signing your Residence Agreement on its own does not secure the room. The booking is only confirmed once the required payment has cleared and Scape has confirmed this by email.

What happens before confirmation?

When you choose a room and create your Scape account, the room can be held for 72 hours while you complete the booking steps. During this time, you’ll need to review and sign your Residence Agreement and make the initial payment shown during checkout.

If the payment is not completed or does not clear within the hold period, the room may be released back to general availability. Prices, offers and discount codes may also change if the hold expires.

What should I check?

  • Your confirmation email: this is the clearest sign your booking is complete
  • Your Scape account: check your booking, payments and documents are showing correctly
  • Your payment status: make sure the required initial payment has cleared
