When do contracts typically start and end?
Scape contract dates depend on the type of stay you book and the availability at your chosen building.
For the main academic year, contracts usually start in September and end the following September. This gives you accommodation for the full academic cycle, including the summer period.
Typical contract dates
- Academic year contracts: usually start in September and end the following September.
- Semester stays: usually start in September or January, depending on which semester you are booking for.
- Summer contracts: usually start in late June and end before September.
Your exact start and end dates will be shown before you complete your booking, so check them carefully alongside the weekly price and total contract value.
If your course dates, travel plans or visa arrangements mean you need a particular contract length, check availability on scape.com/rooms or contact the Scape sales team before booking. We can help you understand which dates are currently available at your preferred building.
