What should I do if my key or access stops working?
If your key fob, access card or app access stops working, please speak to reception as soon as you can. The team can check what has happened and help you get access again safely.
Sometimes access cards can stop working if they have been damaged or kept too close to items such as phones, magnets or bank cards. In other cases, the fob may simply need to be reactivated or reprogrammed.
Reception can test your fob or card and, if needed, issue a replacement. If you are locked out of your room or the building, go to reception or contact the on-site team for help. Scape buildings have support available 24/7, so there will be someone who can assist.
To help avoid access issues:
- Keep your fob or card somewhere safe and easy to reach.
- Avoid bending, scratching or damaging it.
- Keep it away from phones, magnets and contactless bank cards where possible.
- Do not lend it to anyone else.
If your access problem feels urgent, tell the team straight away so they can prioritise support.
