What should I do if my key or access doesn’t work?

If your key fob, key card or digital access does not work, please go to reception straight away. The team can check your access and help you get back into the building or your room safely.

Sometimes a fob can stop working if it has been demagnetised. To help prevent this, try to keep it away from mobile phones, bank cards and anything magnetic.

Reception may be able to reactivate your access there and then. If your fob or card is damaged, lost or cannot be reactivated, the team can advise on the next step and arrange a replacement if needed.

Please do not lend your fob, card or digital access to anyone else, and do not let someone else use your access to enter the building. Your access is unique to you and helps keep the building safe for everyone.

If you are locked out outside normal daytime hours, don’t panic. Scape reception teams are available 24/7, so contact reception or speak to the on-site team for help.
