What is planned maintenance?
Planned maintenance may affect your room or services, depending on the type of work being carried out. Many checks happen in the background and will not disrupt your day, but some work may need temporary access, service interruptions or changes to how you use a shared space.
What could be affected
- Your room: the team may need access for inspections, servicing or essential building checks.
- Services: water, heating, hot water, electricity, ventilation or lifts may be temporarily affected.
- Communal areas: shared kitchens, study spaces, corridors or other facilities may be unavailable for a short time.
If planned maintenance is likely to affect you, Scape will aim to give advance notice. The notice should explain what is happening, where the work is taking place and the expected timing or duration.
Where possible, planned works are arranged during reasonable hours, usually between 8am and 8pm, to reduce disruption.
Please read updates from the Scape app, email or reception so you know what to expect. If you need support during planned maintenance, or you are unsure whether your room or services will be affected, contact reception and the team will help.
