What happens to items left behind after move-out?

If you leave items behind after moving out, they may be treated as abandoned. Your room should be fully cleared by your check-out deadline, usually midnight on your End Date unless your building team has told you otherwise.

After this deadline, Scape may remove, store, dispose of or destroy belongings left in your room or shared spaces. You may be responsible for any costs linked to removal, storage or disposal.

Small items may be stored for up to 14 days, but this is not guaranteed and should not be relied on as a storage option. Scape may not be able to keep large, unsafe, perishable or unhygienic items.

Before leaving, check your room carefully, including drawers, cupboards, under-bed storage, bathroom areas, kitchen spaces, the laundry room and your post box. If you realise you have left something behind, contact reception as soon as possible. The sooner you get in touch, the easier it is for the team to help.
