What happens if one person in a group cancels?
If one person in a group cancels, it does not automatically affect the rest of the group.
Each Scape booking is made individually, so every student has their own contract. This means one person’s cancellation is handled separately from everyone else’s booking. The remaining group members can still keep their rooms, as long as they continue to meet the terms of their own bookings.
What this means for your group
- Bookings are not joint: each student is responsible for their own contract and payments.
- One cancellation stays separate: another person cancelling does not cancel your booking.
- Flat arrangements may change: if someone leaves the group, Scape may need to review the room or flat allocation.
- Keep the team updated: let Scape know if your group plans change before move-in.
If someone in your group is thinking about cancelling, they should contact the Scape team as soon as possible to understand their options and any cancellation terms that apply. The rest of the group can also contact us if they have questions about how this may affect their requested placement.
