What happens if I don’t give the required notice?

If you do not give the required notice or follow the correct early exit process, your booking will usually continue as agreed. This means you may remain responsible for paying rent until your contract End Date, even if you have already moved out of your room.

Simply leaving Scape, returning your key or telling the team you have moved out does not end your contract. To leave early, you need to complete a valid exit route, such as finding a suitable replacement student where this applies, or having an eligible change of study or compassionate request accepted with the right evidence.

If you are thinking about leaving before your End Date, please speak to the Scape team as soon as possible. They can explain the timelines, what information you need to provide and whether any charges or rent liability may apply.
