What happens after I report an incident?

After you report a safety or security incident, the Scape team will listen, record the details and take the next steps needed to support you and keep the building safe.

What happens next will depend on the situation, but may include:

  • Logging the incident so there is a clear record.
  • Checking whether anyone needs immediate support.
  • Escalating the issue to building management.
  • Reviewing CCTV where appropriate.
  • Contacting or supporting you to contact the police or emergency services.
  • Taking action under Scape’s resident policies where needed.

The team will keep you informed of relevant updates where they can. Some details may need to remain confidential, especially if other residents are involved or if the police are investigating.

If you feel unsafe after making a report, tell reception straight away. Scape has staff available 24/7, and the team can help you decide what to do next.

If there is immediate danger at any point, call 999 first, then let the Scape team know when it is safe.
