How do I report a problem in a shared space?
Planned maintenance is scheduled work that helps keep your Scape building safe, reliable and running smoothly. It is different from a repair you report yourself, because it is arranged in advance as part of routine building care.
Examples of planned maintenance
- Fire alarm testing: regular tests help make sure the alarm system is working properly.
- Lift inspections: checks and servicing help keep lifts safe and reliable.
- Building system servicing: this may include checks to heating, hot water, ventilation, electrical or safety systems.
- Communal area works: occasional maintenance may be needed in shared spaces, corridors or facilities.
Some planned maintenance will not affect your day-to-day routine. If work is likely to affect your room, access, shared facilities or services such as water, heating or electricity, Scape will give residents advance notice wherever possible.
Fire alarm tests usually happen on a fixed weekly schedule, which is explained when you check in or through your building information.
Please read notices from the Scape app, email or reception so you know what is happening and when. If you are unsure whether planned work affects you, ask reception and the team will explain what to expect.
