How are shared spaces managed?

Shared spaces at Scape are looked after by both the Scape team and residents. The team keeps communal areas clean and well maintained, while everyone living in the building plays a part in keeping the spaces welcoming, safe and enjoyable.

Scape staff clean shared areas daily, including lounges, study spaces, corridors and other communal facilities. Shared kitchens are also inspected regularly, usually weekly, to make sure they are being used responsibly and kept in good condition.

Your part in shared living

  • Clean up after yourself: wipe surfaces, wash up and put things away after cooking or eating.
  • Respect other residents: keep noise at a considerate level and leave spaces ready for the next person.
  • Use facilities properly: follow any signs, booking rules or guidance shared through the Scape app or reception.
  • Report issues: let reception know if something is damaged, missing or needs attention.

The Scape Code of Conduct sets out resident responsibilities for shared spaces. Not cleaning up after yourself or misusing communal areas may be treated as a Code of Conduct issue.

If you are ever unsure how a shared space should be used, ask the reception team. They will be happy to help.
