Do I need to pay a deposit or advance rent?

Yes, you’ll need to pay an initial amount to confirm your booking, and you’ll also need to pay a damage deposit before you check in.

Initial payment

Your initial payment is advance rent. For most Scape buildings, this is equal to 14 days’ rent. For Scape Bloomsbury and Scape King’s Cross, it is equal to 28 days’ rent.

This payment is not an extra fee. It is deducted from your total residence fee, so it counts towards the rent for your stay.

Damage deposit

Your damage deposit is separate from your rent and is due before check-in, usually alongside your first instalment in line with your payment schedule. It is held to cover any damage, missing items, cleaning charges or outstanding amounts at the end of your stay.
