Can I personalise or decorate my room?

Yes, you can personalise your Scape room and make it feel like yours. We want your space to feel welcoming, comfortable and full of your personality, as long as any changes are safe, removable and do not damage the room.

What you can do

  • Add personal items: photos, cushions, throws, plants, desk accessories and small decorations are all fine.
  • Put up posters or pictures: use removable adhesive strips, such as Command strips, that are designed not to mark the walls.
  • Make it cosy: bring bedding, lighting and soft furnishings that meet UK fire safety standards.

What not to do

  • Do not paint or redecorate: walls, doors, furniture and fittings must stay as they are.
  • Do not drill, nail or screw into walls: this can cause damage and may affect your deposit.
  • Avoid Blu Tack or adhesive putty: these can leave marks or pull paint from the walls.
  • Do not make structural changes: furniture, fittings and room layouts should not be altered.

Any damage found at check-out may be chargeable, so decorate with care. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, check your building handbook or ask reception before putting it up.
