Can I choose a specific room or just a room type?

You can choose a room type, but not a specific room number. When you book, you can select the type of room you want, such as a studio or en-suite, and share a floor preference if that option is available.

Scape will always do its best to take your preferences into account, but they are not guaranteed. Room numbers are usually assigned closer to check-in, once bookings, availability and building arrangements have been confirmed.

What you can choose

  • Room type: choose from the available options at your preferred building.
  • Building: select the Scape location that works best for your university, commute and lifestyle.
  • Floor preference: you can let the team know if you would prefer a particular floor, where this is offered.

If something is especially important to you, such as accessibility, medical requirements or being near friends, contact the Scape team before booking. We can explain what can be confirmed, what can be requested and what depends on availability.

You can check current room types and availability on scape.com/rooms.
