Can I change my contract start date after booking?

No, your contract start and end dates are fixed once your booking has been confirmed. You can check in any time from your contract Start Date onwards, but the contract dates themselves cannot usually be changed.

This means your rent and payment responsibilities begin from the agreed Start Date, even if you choose to arrive later.

What to know

  • You cannot move in before your Start Date: your room will not be available before the date shown in your contract.
  • You can arrive after your Start Date: but your rent still starts from the original date.
  • Your End Date stays the same: arriving late does not extend your contract.
  • Earlier start requests: if you need to move in earlier, contact Scape to check whether anything is available.

If your plans change before move-in, email bookings.uk@scape.com as soon as possible. Include your full name, booking reference, current contract dates and the date you were hoping to move in. The team will explain what, if anything, may be possible.
