Can I bring my own furniture or appliances?
Your Scape room is already fully furnished, so you do not need to bring your own large furniture. Extra furniture is not practical in most rooms and is not permitted, as it can block space, create safety issues or affect fire routes.
Small personal items are absolutely fine. Bring the things that help your room feel like yours, such as photos, soft furnishings, storage organisers or study accessories, as long as they do not damage the room or create a safety risk.
Appliances and electrical items
- Everyday electronics are fine: laptops, phones, chargers, headphones and similar study or personal items are welcome.
- Do not overload sockets: electrical items should be safe for UK use and must not exceed the permitted socket capacity.
- Avoid extra cooking appliances: additional hobs, grills, deep fat fryers, pressure cookers or similar items are not permitted.
- Do not bring fire-risk items: portable heaters, halogen lamps, candles and anything with an open flame are not allowed.
If an item is not permitted, you may be asked to remove it from the building. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, check your building handbook or contact your reception team before you bring it with you.
