Are there any usage limits or fair usage policies?

For normal student living, there are no hard caps on utilities or Wi-Fi at Scape. Your heating, water, electricity and Wi-Fi are included in your rent, so you can use them for everyday residential needs without setting up separate accounts.

We do ask everyone to use energy, water and internet access responsibly. Small habits make a big difference across the building, and they help keep Scape a comfortable, sustainable place to live.

Responsible use means

  • Turning things off: switch off lights, heating and appliances when you leave your room.
  • Saving water: turn taps off when brushing your teeth and avoid leaving showers running.
  • Using Wi-Fi fairly: use the internet for normal study, streaming, browsing, gaming and keeping in touch.
  • Avoiding excessive use: utilities and Wi-Fi should not be used for commercial activity or running a business from your room.

If Scape becomes aware of unusual, excessive or non-residential use, the team may get in touch to understand what is happening and explain what needs to change.

If you ever have a problem with heating, water, electricity or Wi-Fi, report it to the Scape team or through the Scape app so we can help.
