Am I responsible for cleaning my room?

Yes, you are responsible for keeping your own room and bathroom clean throughout your tenancy. Your room is your home while you live with Scape, so regular cleaning helps keep it comfortable, safe and in good condition.

What you need to clean

• Your bedroom or studio: including floors, surfaces, furniture and storage areas.
• Your bathroom: including the shower, toilet, sink, mirror and any bathroom storage.
• Your kitchenette: if you live in a studio, you are responsible for keeping your kitchen area clean and hygienic.
• Shared kitchen areas: if you use a shared kitchen, clean up after yourself each time you cook or eat.

Scape staff clean communal areas such as corridors, staircases and shared living spaces daily, but this does not include your private room or bathroom.

If you would like extra help, an optional paid room cleaning service may be available. Ask reception for availability and pricing at your building.

Keeping your room clean also helps avoid damage, pests or check-out charges, so it is worth building a simple cleaning routine from the start.
