Will I receive a refund if I cancel?

Whether you receive a refund depends on when you cancel and the reason for your cancellation.

Refunds by cancellation route

• During the cooling-off period: you’ll receive a full refund in line with Scape’s Refund Policy.
• Change of Study Circumstances: if Scape accepts your cancellation under this policy, any refund will usually be calculated from the date your notice is accepted, in line with the Refund Policy.
• Suitable Replacement Person: if an approved replacement takes over your contract, any refund will usually be calculated from the date the replacement’s contract begins, less the £350 administration fee.

If you cancel after the cooling-off period and do not qualify under an approved cancellation route, you will usually remain liable for the rent due under your Residence Agreement.

To request a cancellation and refund review, email bookings.uk@scape.com with your full name, booking reference, reason for cancelling and any supporting evidence. Please wait for written confirmation before assuming a refund has been approved. Refunds can take up to 28 days to process once approved.
