Will I be notified before someone enters my room?
For non-urgent repairs, Scape will usually give at least 24 hours’ written notice before entering your room. This notice may be shared through the Scape app, email or another written message from the team.
The notice will normally explain why access is needed and when the team expects to attend. If the suggested time does not work for you, contact reception as soon as possible so they can advise whether it can be adjusted.
When notice may not be given
In an emergency, Scape may need to enter your room without notice. This can happen if there is an urgent safety, security or property risk, such as flooding, a major leak, electrical danger, fire risk or a broken door or lock affecting security.
How to prepare for access
- Keep the area clear: move belongings away from the fault where possible.
- Secure valuables: keep personal items safely stored.
- Share access notes: use the Scape app or reception to explain anything the team should know.
You do not always need to be present for a repair, but if you would prefer to be there, mention this when you report the issue. If you have concerns about room access, speak to reception.
