Will I be notified about planned maintenance?
Yes. If planned maintenance may affect your room, services or a major communal area, the Scape team will let you know in advance.
Planned maintenance can include things like routine safety checks, inspections, repairs, testing, cleaning, decorating or work by approved contractors. Notices may be shared by email, through the Scape app, around the building or directly by the team, depending on the type of work.
What the notice will usually include
- What work is taking place and why it is needed.
- When it is happening and, where possible, how long it is expected to take.
- Whether access to your room is needed or if any service may be temporarily affected.
- Anything you need to do, such as clearing space around an area or keeping access available.
Some essential safety activity, such as fire alarm testing, follows a regular schedule and this will normally be explained when you arrive or shown in your building handbook.
If you are unsure whether a notice applies to you, or you need help preparing for planned work, speak to reception or message the team through the Scape app. They’ll be happy to help.
