Who is responsible for repairs in communal areas?
Yes. Scape will give advance notice for planned maintenance if the work is likely to affect your room, access, services or major communal areas. This helps you know what is happening, when it is happening and whether you need to do anything.
How you may be notified
- Scape app: check for building updates and maintenance notices.
- Email: important information may be sent to the email linked to your booking.
- Reception or building notices: your on-site team may share reminders in person or in shared areas.
The notice should explain the type of work, the area affected and the expected timing. If there will be a temporary interruption to services, such as water, heating, hot water, electricity, lifts or access to a communal space, Scape will aim to let residents know in advance.
Regular fire alarm testing is usually carried out on a fixed weekly schedule. This is normally explained when you check in or through your building information.
Please keep an eye on Scape messages so you do not miss important updates. If you are unsure whether planned maintenance affects you, contact reception and the team will be happy to help.
