Where can I find support as an international student?
There’s plenty of support available if you’re studying in the UK from overseas. Whether you need help with accommodation, wellbeing, healthcare or practical questions about life in the UK, you don’t have to handle it alone.
Where to get help
- Your university international student team: they can help with visa guidance, enrolment, student status letters and settling into university life.
- University wellbeing or counselling services: these are usually free, confidential and designed to support students through homesickness, stress, anxiety or anything else affecting your wellbeing.
- The Scape team: for questions about your room, building, maintenance, parcels, safety or life at Scape, speak to reception or message us through the Scape Student app. Our team are here 24/7.
- NHS 111: call 111 for free health advice when it’s urgent but not life-threatening.
- Citizens Advice: for practical guidance on UK living, money, housing and rights, visit citizensadvice.org.uk.
If you ever feel unsure who to ask, start with your Scape reception team or your university support team. They can point you towards the right person or service.
