When and how will my deposit be returned?
After you move out, your room will be inspected and Scape will confirm whether any deductions are proposed. If there are no deductions, your deposit will be returned through the Deposit Protection Service, usually within 28 days of check-out.
If deductions are proposed for things like cleaning, damage, missing items or outstanding charges, you’ll be contacted through the deposit process using the email address registered with your booking. You’ll be able to review the proposed deductions and either agree or raise a dispute through the Deposit Protection Service.
Your refund will be paid using the bank details held by the Deposit Protection Service, so please make sure these are correct and up to date before you leave. If your details are wrong or missing, your refund may be delayed.
To help things move smoothly, clean your room, remove all belongings, return your keys and provide your forwarding address to Residence Management before departure. If you have questions about your deposit, contact the Scape team or check your Deposit Protection Service account.
