What should I do with my belongings when I move out?
When you move out, please take all of your belongings with you before your booking End Date. Your room should be completely empty by the check-out deadline, usually midnight on your End Date unless your building team has told you otherwise.
Before you leave, check:
- Wardrobes, drawers, shelves and under-bed storage.
- Your bathroom, kitchen cupboards, fridge and freezer.
- Shared spaces, if you have been using them.
- The laundry room, parcel area and post box.
Anything left behind after your End Date may be treated as abandoned. Scape may remove, dispose of or destroy items at your cost. Small items may be stored for up to 14 days, but this is not guaranteed and you may still be responsible for any storage or removal costs.
If you no longer need something, try to donate, recycle or dispose of it responsibly before you leave. If you’re unsure where to take larger items or reusable belongings, speak to reception before moving out.
