What is included in shared flats or communal areas?

Shared flats and communal areas are designed to make life at Scape easy, social and practical. Exact facilities can vary by building, so check your building handbook, the Scape app or speak to reception if you need details for your location.

Shared flats and kitchens

If you live in a shared flat, you will usually share a kitchen with your flatmates. Shared kitchens typically include a hob, sink, fridge/freezer, microwave, worktops and storage space. Some buildings may also include an oven, but this is not available everywhere.

Communal areas

  • Lounges: comfortable seating, Wi-Fi and spaces to relax or catch up with friends.
  • Study areas: desks, chairs and Wi-Fi for focused work outside your room.
  • Shared kitchens or dining spaces: places to cook, eat and spend time with other residents.
  • Laundry rooms: washers and dryers are available on a pay-per-use basis, usually through Circuit.

Please help keep shared spaces welcoming by cleaning up after yourself, respecting other residents and reporting any issues through the Scape app or to reception. If a shared space needs attention, let the team know so they can help.
