What happens if I don’t complete my inventory check?

If you do not complete or flag your inventory check within 48 hours of check-in, it will be treated as an accurate record of your room’s condition when you moved in.

This matters because your inventory is used as the baseline for your room at the end of your stay. If something is damaged, missing or marked when you move out, the team may compare it against the inventory when assessing whether any deposit deductions apply.

That means it is really worth taking a little time at the start to check your room carefully. Look over the furniture, walls, flooring, bathroom, kitchen area if you have one, appliances and any items listed on the inventory.

If anything does not look right, report it in writing to Residence Management within 48 hours. Clear photos can be helpful, especially for marks, damage or missing items.

If you are unsure how to complete your inventory or what to include, speak to reception as soon as possible. The team can help you understand what to check and how to report anything that needs noting.
