What happens if I arrive after my contract start date?

If you arrive after your contract start date, your room will still be held for you, but your contract and payment obligations begin from the agreed start date.

This means arriving later does not reduce the total rent due. Your booking is based on the full contract dates confirmed when you booked, even if you choose to move in a few days or weeks after the start date.

What you should do

• Check your contract: review your start date, end date and payment schedule in your booking.
• Tell the building team: if you will arrive significantly later than planned, let your Scape building know.
• Keep an eye on emails: you may receive check-in instructions, arrival steps or document reminders before move-in.
• Have your documents ready: bring your ID and proof of student status when you do arrive.

You cannot move in before your contract start date, but you can check in from that date onwards. If your travel plans change or you are delayed, contact the Scape team as soon as you can so we know when to expect you.
