What do I need to do before moving in?

Before you move in, there are a few simple things to sort so check-in feels smooth and stress-free.

Your pre-arrival checklist

• Pay your damage deposit: you’ll need to pay your £400 damage deposit before arrival.
• Clear your first rent instalment: make sure your first instalment has been paid and cleared in line with your payment schedule.
• Prepare your documents: have your passport or government-issued ID ready, plus proof of student status such as a student ID, UCAS number or enrolment confirmation.
• Plan what to bring: bedding, towels, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment are not included as standard, so bring your own or order essentials in advance.
• Arrange contents insurance: Scape recommends protecting your personal belongings before you arrive.
• Download the Scape App: this helps you stay updated, manage maintenance requests, track parcels and contact the team.
• Check your arrival details: confirm your check-in time and read any pre-arrival emails from Scape carefully.

If you prefer to pack light, you can order bedding and kitchen items through Unpacked and have them delivered to Scape. If anything is unclear before move-in, contact your building team or check your Scape account for the latest details.
