What are the conditions for cancelling my booking?

The conditions for cancelling your booking depend on whether you are still within your cooling-off period. If the cooling-off period has ended, cancellations are only possible in specific circumstances.

After the cooling-off period, cancellation may be possible if:

• You have a Change of Study Circumstances: for example, you withdraw from your course, are excluded or your admission is refused. You’ll need written evidence from your university or education provider.
• You find a Suitable Replacement Person: this must be an eligible student who can take over your contract, and Scape must approve them. A £350 administration fee applies.
• There are exceptional compassionate circumstances: Scape may review these at its discretion, but approval is not guaranteed.

If none of these apply, you will usually remain responsible for the full rent due under your Residence Agreement.

To request cancellation, email bookings.uk@scape.com with your full name, booking reference, reason for cancelling and supporting evidence. Please wait for written confirmation from Scape before assuming your booking has been cancelled.
