How long do repairs usually take?

Repair times depend on how urgent the issue is and whether the on-site team can fix it directly or needs a specialist contractor. Scape prioritises issues that affect safety, security or essential services first.

Repair response targets

  • Emergency repairs: attended within 4 hours, 24/7. This includes serious issues such as flooding, total power failure, major leaks or security risks.
  • Essential repairs: usually attended within 2 working days. These are issues that affect comfort or normal use, but are not immediate emergencies.
  • General maintenance: usually attended within 5 working days. This covers routine repairs and non-urgent faults.

These are target timeframes, and some repairs may take longer if a replacement part, supplier or specialist contractor is needed. If this happens, the Scape team should keep you updated through the Scape app or directly through reception.

To help repairs move quickly, include clear details, photos where useful and your availability when you report the issue. If your repair has passed the expected timeframe and you have not had an update, contact reception with your room number and maintenance request details.
