How can I stay safe while living at Scape?

Scape is designed to be a safe and supportive place to live, and a few everyday habits can make a big difference.

To help keep yourself and your neighbours safe:

  • Make sure doors close properly behind you when entering or leaving the building.
  • Do not hold secure doors open for people you do not know.
  • Keep your room locked whenever you leave, even for a short time.
  • Never share your key fob, access card or access code with anyone else.
  • Report lost keys, suspicious behaviour or security concerns to reception straight away.
  • Know your nearest fire exits and assembly point.

When heading out, plan your route, keep an eye on your belongings and make sure you have a safe way to get home. Avoid walking alone in poorly lit areas if you can, and use pre-booked taxis or trusted transport options.

If something does not feel right, trust your instincts and speak to the Scape team. Reception is available 24/7, and the team would always rather you raised a concern early. If you are in immediate danger, call 999.
