Do I need ID or documents at check-in?

Yes. You’ll need to bring the right ID and student documents with you when you check in at Scape.

Please have the following ready when you arrive:

• Valid passport or government-issued ID
• Student ID number or UCAS number confirming your enrolment at a specified educational institution
• Your booking details, if you have them handy

These documents help the reception team confirm who you are and that you’re eligible to live in student accommodation. They are also needed before your keys or access can be issued.

You’ll also need to make sure your required payments, including your deposit and first instalment, have been paid and cleared before you arrive. If your ID, student confirmation or payment status cannot be verified, the team will not be able to complete check-in.

To make move-in day easier, keep your documents somewhere easy to reach rather than packed at the bottom of a suitcase. If you’re unsure whether a document is acceptable, contact your building reception team before you travel so they can guide you.
