Can I choose my flatmates or be matched with others?

Scape does not offer flatmate selection or a formal flatmate matching service before you book.

If you are booking with friends, the Scape team can try to place you together or nearby, subject to availability. If you are booking on your own, the team will review flatmate groupings and do its best to create a good living setup within the rooms and shared flats available.

What you can do

  • Booking with friends: each person should book individually, then contact the Scape sales team with your grouping request.
  • Booking alone: you do not need to find flatmates yourself before booking.
  • Share important needs: if there is anything the team should know, such as accessibility, medical or wellbeing considerations, contact us before booking.
  • Keep expectations flexible: flatmate requests depend on availability, room types and building layout.

Scape communities are designed to be welcoming, friendly and supportive, so you will have plenty of opportunities to meet people once you move in. If you have questions about shared living, speak to the Scape team before you book and we will talk you through what to expect.
