Can I choose my exact room or only a room type?

You can choose a room type when you book, but not usually a specific room number.

When you make your booking, you will select the Scape building and room type that suits you, such as a studio, en-suite or apartment where available. You may also be able to choose or request a floor, depending on the booking options shown at the time.

Specific room numbers are assigned later in the booking process, closer to your arrival. This helps the Scape team manage availability, building layouts and individual booking needs.

What you can usually choose

  • Building: choose the Scape location that works best for your university, lifestyle and budget.
  • Room type: select from the available options at that building.
  • Floor option or preference: where available, you may be able to select or request a floor.

If you have a specific requirement, such as accessibility needs, medical considerations or a request to be near friends, contact the Scape sales team before or soon after booking. We will do our best to help, but requests are always subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed.
