Are there restrictions on certain appliances or items?
Yes, some appliances and items are restricted at Scape to help keep everyone safe and protect the building. Your room is already fitted with the essentials you need, so please avoid bringing extra items that could create a fire, electrical or safety risk.
Items not permitted
- Candles and open flames: including incense, oil burners, shisha and anything with a naked flame.
- Barbecues: these must not be used anywhere in the building or on Scape property.
- Halogen lamps and high-risk electrical items: these can overheat and create a fire risk.
- Additional cooking appliances: do not bring hobs, grills, deep fat fryers, rice cookers or other cooking appliances not provided by Scape.
- Weapons or dangerous items: firearms, offensive weapons and explosives are not permitted.
- Illegal substances: these are not allowed anywhere at Scape.
The total electrical load per room socket is approximately 1kW, so please do not overload sockets or use unsafe adapters. Any prohibited item may need to be removed.
