Are showrooms the same as actual rooms?

Showrooms are a helpful guide, but they may not be exactly the same as the room you are allocated.

A showroom is usually set up to represent a particular room type, so it can give you a good sense of the furniture, layout, finish and overall feel. However, individual rooms can vary slightly depending on the floor, position in the building, view, aspect and exact layout.

What may vary

  • Floor level: your room may be higher or lower than the showroom.
  • View and natural light: this can depend on where the room sits in the building.
  • Exact layout: furniture and fittings should be similar, but the shape or arrangement may differ.
  • Room size: rooms within the same type are usually comparable, but not always identical.

If something is especially important to you, such as accessibility, storage, floor level or layout, tell the Scape team before booking. We can explain what can be confirmed, what can be requested and what may depend on availability.
